Welcome to the recently formed La Quinta Art Association (LQAA) (est. 2016).  Local La Quinta artists and others have joined together to have a common voice for the Visual Art Community in the town in which they live and exhibit their art.

We are non- profit organization [a 501(c)(3) under the guidelines of the I.R.S.]. We are categorized as a a public charity / art association. We are all volunteers. We each pay an annual $36 membership that contributes to operational expenses. We can also receive donations from those who wish to help in our mission.

Our mission is: Enrich…Encourage…Promote…!

Art in La Quinta has been a driving force for some 30+ years. Many artists have made La Quinta and the surrounding communities their home. La Quinta Art Association is a way for artists to come together and achieve common goals. We are here to help each other professionally through providing new opportunities.

Our Motto: “We are a group of positive people doing positive things”.

We welcome new members. All members must be La Quinta artists, or an artist that has regularly exhibited in La Quinta and its surrounding cities, or have experience or the desire to work with the “Art Community of La Quinta”. Educators are welcome to assist with our Art Education Development Committee. This committee operates a program called “Let’s Talk About Art. Art Education Development. All members pledge to contribute in a positive manner to the LQAA.

Some of our new members are emerging artists and have not shown their work professionally. We will accept a limited number of these members based on the quality of their work and expressed desire to hone their art. In other words, we do some mentoring. The goal here is to assist in becoming a professional artist.

As for non-artist members, the door is open for those who want involvement in their community. It takes a lot of people, with varied abilities, to manage and promote the arts. Art shows and other events are complex and require a lot of effort. For those who want to help, we welcome you.

Our group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 4 PM to discuss goals and new ideas.

One of our goals at the La Quinta Art Association is to build and manage a website/registry for our Artists. The website is  laquintaartists.com

All members of the La Quinta Art Association are eligible to be listed on the “La Quinta Artists” website/registry. Each artist is listed in this registry in alphabetical order and is also featured in the specific art category in which they work and create their art. Images of each artist are featured with contact info to view their individual website or reach them through an email. The registry has the goal of increasing each artist’s connection with the public.

Another goal of the La Quinta Art Association is to assist and encourage entities within the community to provide both continued and new venues for our Artists. We will offer our combined artistic experiences and perspectives in an effort to provide vital input for these Art Events.

We have worked with the City of La Quinta to create a fresh and new venue within the city called “Fall for Art”. This “Celebration of Art” will be an annual art event to occur the first Sat. of November each year. The venue is La Quinta Park (just off Adams St.). Visit the Page at this website to learn more about Fall for Art”. Fall for Art.

In addition to the above, the La Quinta Art Association has a Facebook Page to like and follow. La Quinta Art Association. La Quinta Artists also has a Facebook Page to like and follow. La Quinta Artists. Fall for Art also has a Facebook Page to like and follow. Fall for Art.

We are a member of the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce. All of our members may attend their mixers and other functions. Our membership provides us with a very large base in which to network and gain support….and our membership supports them too. We may contribute to the “Gem”, which is their monthly news publication.

In advance, we appreciate your interest in our Association and  welcome all new members who wish to come on board.
